Infinitely More Freedom to Remove Regretful Tattoos
by Shad Connelly

While it seemed like a great idea back in the day, twenty years later that Hulk Hogan tattoo isn't quite as cool. And that bicep tribal band was really an original - until you saw a couple hundred guys at the gym with the same one (for the ladies, this principle can be applied to lower-back tattoos). Perhaps worst of all, that tattoo of "Debbie" emblazoned on your chest became a bit of a problem after you realized the two of you would NOT be together forever.
In our fleeting, attention-deficit culture, tastes tend to change as quickly as the wind blows and not all tattoos stand the test of time. But, that doesn't mean tattoos should be temporary either - after all, the point of a tattoo is its permanence, isn't it? To solve this perplexing quandary, Freedom-2, Inc. has invented a tattoo that is permanent but more easily removable. While most tattoo ink is made from insoluble pigments that remain in the skin forever, Freedom-2 Inc.'s Infinitink is applied by inserting beads of polymer-encapsulated inks through the skin. Infinitink is the product of Freedom-2, Inc.'s patented Particle Encapsulation Delivery System (PEDS) technology. Infinitink tattoos looks just like normal tattoos, and they are still created with a needle (no pain, no gain). But, if a person should change his or her mind a decade (or a day) later, the tattoo can be removed with fewer laser treatments.
The process of removing a tattoo is generally not an enjoyable one. It is done through dermatological laser treatments, which are usually painful and costly (and something most insurance companies don't cover). Worse yet, it can take multiple treatments to remove a tattoo - and that's if it can even be removed completely. While treatments will often fade tattoos a good deal, many cannot be eliminated from the skin altogether. Freedom-2, Inc. claims Infinitink makes tattoos easier to erase in fewer treatments - which decreases the amount of pain an individual needs to endure. And less treatments also means lowered costs. But the main benefit of Infinitink may be that simple fact that it gives people peace of mind. The technology provides individuals the freedom to get tattoos without worrying as much about tomorrow. Granted, while it's still not quite as easy as simply wiping a tattoo away, Infinitink does make the removal process a little easier than it has been in the past. And even if a person never decides to remove the tattoo, it's always liberating to have the option to wipe the slate clean.
